PAR AVION

STAGE 1 | 5:00-6:00 PM

PAR AVION explores the traditions of So Cal’s reverb-heavy instrumental surf music sound and rides that energy into a direction adding a distinct mix of rock, dance, Latin, and psychedelia. As a duo, Bernard glides effortlessly between guitar and lap steel while Rebecca holds the groove down on bass and rhythm/percussion loops while in nonstop motion. Imagine a tight yet somehow still improvised electronic DJ set with pedals and live instruments.

Originating from California, Par Avion has performed at notable events hosted by Surfrider Foundation, Patagonia, Hobie, and Laguna Beach's Coast Film Festival, spreading their enthusiasm to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, Italy, and France. In April 2024, they played at sea for Summit at Sea and will headline Locals’ Night on Santa Monica Pier on April 18th.

Sponsored by Cotopaxi and Chaco brands, Par Avion is the subject of a forthcoming short documentary premiering at 5 Point Film Festival in Colorado. Titled "Don't Doubt the Trout," it explores their fusion of music and conservation.

They put on a great show so pipe down and eat your vegetables.
