You're invited to a night at the opera as LA Opera presents Verdi's Otello, broadcast live from our stage to the Santa Monica Pier.

You know Shakespeare’s classic play, now see it transformed into a powerful opera. Russell Thomas stars as Otello, a brilliant general in the Venetian army who is nonetheless an outcast for the color of his skin. When his enemies hatch a plot to frame his wife for infidelity, it's enough to send Otello down a spiral of jealous rage and self-destruction.
